Dr. Wayne D. Aberle, O.D.

Originally from Herreid, South Dakota, Dr. Aberle graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1999. After gaining valuable experience in Chicago and Minneapolis, he returned to our region in 2000 and joined Vision Source Mandan in 2020. With special interests in contact lenses, urgent eye care, and diabetic eye exams, Dr. Aberle is committed to comprehensive family eye care for patients of all ages. He’s an active member of the Knights of Columbus and enjoys family time with his wife Cressy and their five children.

Dr. Danielle A. Dyke, O.D.

A Bismarck native, Dr. Dyke joined our team in 2021 after graduating from Midwestern University Arizona College of Optometry. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Dakota and remains connected to her home state as an active member of the North Dakota Optometric Association. Beyond providing exceptional eye care, Dr. Dyke enjoys outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, and camping, as well as hockey and good coffee.

Shannon

Receptionist

You’ll recognize Shannon by her warm, genuine smile when you enter our clinic. Joining Vision Source Mandan in 2021, she excels in patient relations and consistently goes above and beyond to ensure exceptional visits. Shannon appreciates how the field of optometry offers continuous learning opportunities. A proud grandmother of four, she enjoys traveling (especially to Cancun), family time, and hockey games.

Christina

Receptionist and Technician

Christina’s calm, friendly demeanor helps patients feel immediately comfortable when visiting our clinic. Since joining us in 2023, she has developed a fascination with how various factors affect eye health and vision. She has been receiving training and is able to help the doctors with pre-testing. Christina enjoys helping patients see better while spending her personal time with her spouse, child, family, and friends. Her hobbies include reading, crocheting, and playing video games.

Susan

Part-time Receptionist & Administrative Support​​​​​​​

Though working part-time, Susan makes a full-time impact with her warm smile and positive attitude. Since 2020, she has assisted at our front desk while handling various administrative tasks. Susan finds it rewarding to witness how improved vision transforms patients’ lives. Family is central to Susan’s life – she and her spouse have three children and enjoy creating memories through cooking, baking, gardening, and playing sports together.

Dave, C.P.O.

Optician​​​​​​​

With over 14 years of ophthalmic experience, Dave joined our team in 2022 and earned his Certified Paraoptometric (CPO) credentials in 2024. His expertise in frame selection and lens education helps patients understand the technical aspects of their eyewear. Dave’s fascination with eye anatomy enhances his work in both the optical department and in assisting our doctors with testing procedures. Outside work, he enjoys playing bass guitar, video games, and reading comic books.

Lisa, C.P.O.

Optician & Technician​​​​​​​

Lisa brings over 8 years of combined optometry and ophthalmology experience since rejoining Vision Source Mandan in 2025. A versatile team member with Certified Paraoptometric (CPO) credentials earned in 2021, she divides her time between the optical department and assisting doctors as a technician. Lisa prioritizes customer service, using her friendly personality to ensure positive patient experiences. Despite her busy family life with a spouse, two children, and a goldendoodle, she enjoys reading, baking, hiking, and the occasional nap.

Rheagan

Optician​​​​​​​

Joining our team in 2024, Rheagan works in our optical department and is currently studying and working toward her CPO certification. Her detail-oriented approach ensures glasses are perfectly fitted from start to finish. Originally from Texas but now settled in North Dakota after extensive travels, Rheagan enjoys RC racing with her boyfriend, knitting, reading, and spending time with her kittens. She also has a special fondness for a farm cow named Sparkles!

Savanna

Clinical Testing Assistant​​​​​​​

Savanna’s CNA background provides valuable medical experience that serves her well in assisting our doctors with pre-testing and diagnostic procedures since joining us in 2024. She genuinely enjoys helping patients and brightening their day while working in our collaborative team environment. Savanna balances her role at Vision Source Mandan with her college studies and comes from a fifth-generation crop farming family.

Kacee

Receptionist and Optician​​​​​​​

Kacee brings enthusiasm and a welcoming spirit to the Vision Source Mandan team, where she enjoys the team atmosphere and making sure patients feel welcome from the moment they arrive. She has been receiving training to be an optician and is particularly interested in eyescreen photo technology and how it helps patients understand their eye health comprehensively. When she’s not at the office, Kacee loves spending time with her family through cooking, baking, hunting, and fishing adventures. At home, she’s accompanied by her cocker spaniel named Manny, who loves being cuddly and chasing birds.

Stacey

With five years of optometry industry experience, Stacey brings versatile expertise to Vision Source Mandan. Her ability to assist across nearly every area of the practice makes her an invaluable team member, whether she is helping with pre-testing, working in the optical department, or supporting patients at the front desk. Outside of work, Stacey enjoys summertime activities like camping, fishing, and riding her motorcycle. She is also an avid cook who loves trying new recipes and a proud dog mom.
